Yeowza

So...I guess it's kinda a bad idea to do these kinda blogs without a camera...hmm...well my mom can't find the fucking charger on my camera so the only kind of pictures I can do is with my phone.

My first formal post will be a review of the Laneige skin products that I have. For those of you who:

a. Aren't Korean and

b. don't read Asian beauty blogs...

Laneige is a popular Korean skincare brand. It's name actually means "snow" in French. I find that so adorable for some reason ^__^ You can only find Laneige in Amore stores (which I have within walking distance near me, as well as a Face Shop!), but you can also buy it online. However, considering those websites are retailers based in Asia, I imagine the shipping charges would be atrocious.

Since most Asian skin types tend to be acne-prone and on the oily side, Laneige's gentle exfoliators and light-weight, yet effective moisturizers and emulsions, are well suited to these types of problems. Their name, Laneige, personifies their mission to create crystal clear skin.

Up for trial

First...

This is basically a toner. Isn't the packaging gorgeous?! It's glass...bet it would be a bitch to drop on the floor though.

Also, it's HUGE. You get a lot of product. 16 mL. Been using this for about...a month? Once a day, and there's still a ton left.

I forgot the price of this...sorry! However, Laneige products will generally run you about $30+. Not the most expensive skincare line, but it's way more than what you'd find at the drugstore for skincare. .

The smell of this toner is really nice and fresh...kinda like..a way lighter scent of Listerine..but better..ahaha I don't know :/ It's great at getting excess dirt out of your pores, but it's soo gentle. Usually toners irritate my sensitive skin, and this is the only one that doesn't do that. It also doesn't dry out my skin, or leave it feeling tight. I'd definitely repurchase this.

Now this is a gel moisturizer. Due to this, it feels light and cooling on the skin. I can see this being a great one for those with oily skin, or for those that need a light summer moisturizer. However, since I have combination skin, it doesn't give me ENOUGH moisture. I still had dry patches on my face in the time I was using it. I'm going to finish this bottle and probably try the pore emulsion next, since I like how that sinks into my skin better.

OH! That's another thing I wanted to mention. The packaging. It's beautiful as well, so nice to display on your vanity. However, this is also a $30 moisturizer, with only 1.7 fl. oz. WTF?! It's so big looking, but that's just the packaging. So..that sucks :(

Here's the consistency of it

I forgot to include this in the group shot, but heres a picture of the pore clear cleansing foam.

and yes that's a sample of my purity made simple sample from sephora ahah.

Now this cleanser...it's white with little blue beads in it. It's an okay cleanser. Nothing WOW-tacular (that's totally a word) about it though. I think I actually prefer my clean and clear daily scrub cleanser to this. But it works well with the pore refiner...I'm not sure I'd repurchase this though. It's too expensive for a so-so product.

And now..the creme de la creme

THELANEIGESTRAWBERRYYOGURTPEELINGGELOMG

No surprise here, but this was the first Laneige product I've ever tried, and it is probably their most popular product. I cannot say enough good things about this. First off, it's a peeling gel. You apply it to your skin and just rub it in, and soon your dead skin cells form and fall off. Awesome. Afterward, it leaves your skin soft and glowy. The smell is incredible, like strawberry yogurt (duh) and it's pink! And the packaging is pretty as well.

You also don't need a lot of it for it to work, so it lasts a while. It's also contains real strawberry seeds, and it's gentle. Gentle enough to use everyday. I use this after washing my face twice a week, and even if I'm too lazy to wash my face at all lol. Although, I think it's more to get the dead skin cell off rather than cleaning out your pores. Overall, I definitely will repurchase this.

After

...dude..that's my dead skin.

I hope this was helpful. I'm going to do my skin care routine post next, so all y'all can see how I incorporate these products in my LIFE. aha. Kay..later
